Article by Frank Ridzi Published in Foundation Review
Research conducted by Frank Ridzi, Ph.D., Director of Research & Community Initiatives at the Community Foundation, was recently published in The Foundation Review (Volume 5, Issue 1), a peer-reviewed journal of philanthropy. Ridzi’s article, Managing Expectations When Measuring Philanthropic Impact: A Framework Based on Experience, draws on experiences of the Community Foundation and other funders across the nation with demonstrating meaningful impact from their initiatives. Ridzi reports that often times funders struggle with the balance between emphasizing that a program works and improving how it works. Frank hopes that his article helps funders manage expectations of their funding boards and staff when it comes to feasible accountability for various types of grantmaking.
